Peter Dugré has navigated the introduction of cannabis farming as a legitimate industry on the Santa Barbara Coast since the creation of CARP Growers, the farmers group with 9 members in Carpinteria Valley, in 2018. Keeping fingers on the pulse of the industry, the community, and government regulators, Dugré has led CARP Growers’ successful community outreach and education programs to build an understanding about the new commercial crop, who grows it, and how to build lasting partnerships through transparency and mutual respect. He serves on the boards of Girls Inc. of Carpinteria and Carpinteria Family School and is co-founder of Two Trumpets Communications, an outreach and strategic communications agency in Carpinteria, Calif.
